Indian Chai is typically made using a rich black tea, like an Assam, and brewing it in heavy milk with cardamom, cinnamon, ginger, cloves and pepper. This produces a warm soothing, calming effect on the body. Our Chai takes it one step further with the addition of a dash of vanilla. The vanilla delivers a hint of creaminess to this tea - a fantastic addition! Brew this tea piping hot and add some sweetener to help open up the exotic flavor of this spicy blend.
Each 2 ounce bag makes 15-20 cups. All our teas come packaged in triple layered vapor proof recloseable bags.
Ingredients: Black Tea, Ginger, Cardamom, Corriander, Cinnamon, Cloves, Black Pepper, Daisy White, Sunflower and Natural Flavors.
Directions for Use: Place 1 heaping teaspoon of tea for each cup into your teapot. Pour boiling water into teapot. Cover and let steep for 5-10 minutes. While the tea is brewing, put 2 tsp of sugar in your cups and add milk (about 20% of the cup's volume). When the chai is ready, pour into cups and enjoy!
