Tapestry was a richly beautiful rose & hydrangea black chintz pattern popular with many potteries in the 1950s. This James Kent Tapestry chintz demitasse cup and saucer is dated by its gold backstamp to circa 1955+. However, Tapestry was introduced by James Kent in 1958, therefore, 1958+ is a more conservatively accurate date for this piece. It is in very good condition with well matched chintz, clear color, age appropriate crazing, and no cracks, chips or repairs. We include a card with the maker, pattern name, any history we can ascertain and the approximate age of the set. It makes a lovely gift!
